History
Timbacore History
Originally Timbacore was established in 1998. Our main focus at that time was on Installations
3 years later, In 2001 a new era for Timbacore started as the Shop was opened in upper Durban Road Tygervalley, where timber products, poles, loose timber, trellises, fencing panels, garden edging, railway sleepers, etc were on offer to clients.
This Shop grew rapidly and within 2 years a larger premises was needed. Timbacore then moved to a new larger premises covering 2 500 square meters in Bella Rosa, Durbanville. We outgrew the premises again which forced Timbacore to look for a larger premises.
By then management had seen this as an enormous challenge, as our Factory, then situated in Blackheath, and the installation Department in Maitland, for logistically reasons made perfect sense to be together. This was all done to ensure a one-stop shop experience for our Timbacore customers.
As of 1 May 2008, Timbacore sourced a 10 000 square meter property at 15 Farad Street, Stikland, where everything is still under one roof: the Shop and DIY Department, Manufacturing Department and the Installation Department. A convenient Coffee Shop & Take Aways where customers, while shopping ,can enjoy a great cup of coffee / tea with refreshments.
Since 2018 we have expanded our service offering and now have a well-stocked specialized hardware retail department with top quality brands on offer. With very competitive prices.
The installations department takes pride in what they do and strive in delivering the best service at all times. Whether it is a custom made manufactured item that is to be erected or installed on site and / or an erection of timber fencing, decking, wendy houses/cabins, etc, the team is ready to take these tasks on with pride
Installations are being done all over the Western Cape including Hermanus, Franskraal, Langebaan, Hout Bay, etc.
Before any installation is started–and before the team leaves the premises – strict quality measures are put into place to ensure that all materials required for the installation are available and that the date for installation is promptly adhered to.
The same way each individual takes pride in what he / she does, so we take real pride in the quality of the service that we render, this includes all the products we manufacture in the Manufacturing Department.
Whether it is raw or a machine treated timber, it is utilized according to a customer’s requirements. We will manufacture the timber product exactly to the requirement of our customers. It is here that we also assist customers according to their needs in respect of timber and design requirements, and what is possible.
Everything we manufacture is of the highest quality, as the timber used for manufacturing comes from selected sawmills, this ensures we offer high quality timber materials. We can assure you that once manufactured you will get real value for your money.
Delivery of Products:
Timbacore is proud of its fleet of vehicles that enables them to offer a delivery service that operates daily at a minimal rate.
Delivery Costs for Installations
The cost of delivering material to be assembled or installed on your property is included in the original quotation, unless otherwise stated.
Processing Raw Material
We do cutting, ripping and planning to your specifications. We also do brushing and spraying of the sleeper wood.
Timber
All timber sold at Timbacore is CCA pressure treated to SABS specifications and carry a 20 -year warranty against rotting, beetles, bugs and wood disease.
Tools & Equipment
All tools and equipment sold have a 1 year manufacturer’s guarantee. Keep invoice and box (if any) in a safe place to bring along when returning any equipment.
Furniture
Outdoor and indoor furniture have a 1-year warranty and will be repaired free of charge, unless proven that the owner is at fault.
